As part of the 1st German Diversity Day on June 11th, 2013, the Federal Foundation Magnus Hirschfeld and Deutsche Post DHL host the 1st LGBTI educational workshop on the topic “Sexual orientations, gender identities and gender roles as issues of education and diversity management” on June 8th, 2013 (10 a.m. – app. 6 p.m.).
This aims to start a broad networking of projects and initiatives, in order to promote issues like sexual orientation, gender identity and gender roles within educational work.
The one-day workshop broaches the development that lesbians, gays, bisexuals, trans* and intersexuals (LGBTI) are increasingly in the focus of education and diversity management in schools, institutions of further education, universities, authorities and in companies. Scientists and experts present model projects, research results, demands and visions for the future. Experts and professionals from the educational sector and interested non-professionals are invited to discuss and reflect their own views and actions.
