The Bundesstiftung Magnus Hirschfeld launched the Hirschfeld Lectures, a series of public addresses and publications, in 2012. The series is conceived of as a catalyst for the presentation of historical contexts and current issues (for example, in the field of education and research) regarding the persecution, discrimination and everyday life of lesbians, gays, bisexual, trans*, intergender and queer persons (LSBTIQ*).
The lectures are published in the eponymous series in collaboration with the Wallstein Verlag (Göttingen).
