The advisory board of the Federal Foundation Magnus Hirschfeld (BMH) consists primarily of academics and education experts. It provides guidance, particularly regarding the allocation of foundation funds for queer projects. Members are elected by the board of trustees for a four-year term and serve on a voluntary basis. When selecting members of the advisory board, the board of trustees considers both representatives of organizations named in the statutes (§12, para. 2) and other persons who have made a name for themselves in the fields of expertise of the foundation’s work.
The establishment and duties of the Advisory Board are governed by our statutes (§12 and §13).
The current Advisory Board met for the first time on July 6, 2024.
